I neeeever get Starbucks but it's worked out twice in the last month where I needed some caffeine and it was my only option and both times the service was excellent and there were notes on my cup! Still not into Starbucks (nor am I super enthused by this overhaul) but... it did work on me!
I've never been to an American Starbucks, and the last time I visited one here (the Philippines) was nearly a decade ago, but reading this was so fascinating. This is how I've always experienced Starbucks: friendly staff, nice place to stay, coffee mid, food okay.
This move by the CEO feels like a PR ploy to try to get people to forget Starbucks' union-busting last year.
there won't be a union to bust if they keep having horrible stores!

There is a clear role for Starbucks, imo. We can't avoid it. And even something like Dunkin is beating it right now in terms of products and service.

yes. Most indie coffee shops don't even make great cortados though, so I'm not holding out much hope here.
